What is the bilingual learning pathway and how is it different from supplementary English classes? Many parents understand the bilingual program as increasing the number of English lessons. This understanding is not wrong, but it is not enough. A truly meaningful bilingual learning pathway is different in three core points. Language is a means of study, not a subject In the intensified English program, students learn English as a separate subject. In the bilingual program, Math can be taught in English. Science too. Arts and a part of Social Sciences also follow the same principle. English becomes a tool to access new knowledge. This is the real point that unlocks academic language proficiency. Clear language ratio by level Each bilingual pathway has a fixed English-Vietnamese ratio structure. This ratio is designed to increase gradually over the years. In the early stages, children are exposed to English gently to get acquainted. Higher up, the percentage of English gradually increases. The goal is for the child to be able to access academic materials in English at the secondary level.
